On archives: A conversation with Bettina Knaup and Hana Halilaj
We invite you to join the talk between the curators Hana Halilaj and Bettina Knaup on curatorial approaches to archives. Knaup is the artistic director and producer of the re.act.feminism- an ongoing archive and research project exploring the multitemporal forcefield of feminism(s) and performance art.
re.act.feminism #3, developed as part of Manifesta 14, takes the existing online platform as its starting point and experiments with interventions and expansions through curatorial drifts. Halilaj has curated the exhibition “An Archive in the Attic: Informator” on the National Gallery of Kosovo which presents materials from the 1960s to the present— catalogs, press clippings, documents, letters, manuscripts, photographs— revealing the omitted collective and individual histories residing in this archive.
Both exhibitions take place at the National Gallery of Kosovo, presented under the curatorial concept Good as Hell: Voicing Resistance conceived by Catherine Nichols.
