Manifesta’s Expectation Workshops are a series of meetings with local stakeholders in the fields of culture, civil society, education, architecture, research and cultural politics in Prishtina. The general aim of these workshops is firstly, to introduce Manifesta to communities in Prishtina. Secondly, and most importantly, they are to identify the objectives, as well as the challenges, expectations and outcomes of Manifesta 14 in the City of Prishtina.

How can Manifesta be used as a platform for social and cultural change, with a possible sustainable legacy? What sort of projects and processes are needed to centre the needs of the citizens of Prishtina and create sustainable projects with them? How can Manifesta try to work across the Western Balkans?

The outcomes of the conversations will be published into a Manifesta 14 magazine and will serve as a departure point for the biennial’s programming, including the conceptualisation of a permanent cultural institution in Prishtina.
