Manifesta’s Education and Mediation programme is an essential creative force of the biennial, that builds and develops meaningful relationships with the Host City and its communities.

The programme derives from a set of research projects and encounters with a variety of individuals in Manifesta Host Cities, including inhabitants, educators, artists, historians, activists and associations. For each Manifesta edition, the programme takes a different shape while always placing participants and collaborators at its core.

In Manifesta 14 Prishtina, the programme formed around three main pillars: education, mediation and community, including three interrelated projects – Schools Project, Mediation School and Oaza Space. Each of these projects is a result of a longer-term research process, that was based on (re)discovering existing histories and practices, being attentive to current societal needs, and identifying spaces and modes of collectivity.
