Located in one of the busiest parts of the city, Adem Jashari Square is a popular meeting place for Prishtina citizens. Named after Adem Jashari, the famed Commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the square hosts the Brotherhood monument. It is a well-loved leisure space, where multi-generational families gather to unwind and friends young and old connect, exchange and interact.

With tree coverage around the edges, the square is also a place to take respite in a patch of shade on one of Prishtina’s many sunny days. With its wheelchair-friendly ramps, the square is emblematic of continuing efforts to increase accessibility in public life in Kosovo. Adem Jashari Square regularly plays host to pop-up events and presentations from across the social-cultural spectrum.
