Sislej Xhafa

Sislej Xhafa (1970, RKS) was born in Peja, Kosovo and now lives and works in New York, United States. He is known for his artistic investigation into the social, economic and political realities and the complexities of modern society.

Over the years, Xhafa has highlighted different economic and social themes in his work. Recently, his investigations into the phenomena of tourism or forced illegality have included minimal language and were at once ironic and subversive. These works used a wide range of mediums, from sculpture to drawing, performance and photography.
