Hedwig Fijen appointed as an Officer in the Order Oranje-Nassau

We are deeply honoured and very happy to announce that on Tuesday the 26th of April, Manifesta’s Founding Director, Hedwig Fijen was selected as an Officer in the Order Oranje-Nassau by the appointment of H.M. the King of the Netherlands.

Presented by the Mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, Fijen was recognised for her remarkable accomplishments over 25 years of leadership of Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennial. The members of the Supervisory Board as well as the entire Manifesta team is thrilled and very proud of this announcement.
