Launch of “Uncover Your Story: A Manual for Discovering Local Culture”

We are pleased to invite you to the launch of the teacher’s manual “Uncover Your Story: Manual for Discovering Local Culture”, on Thursday, September 29, from 16:00, in the Red Hall of the Palace of Youth and Sports. The Teacher’s Manual has been developed within the “Uncover Your Story” Schools Project that the Manifesta 14 Prishtina Education Department has developed and implemented, in cooperation with the Municipal Directorate of Education in Prishtina and Fushë Kosova, as well as the Kosovar Youth Council.

The manual of extracurricular activities has been developed with the aim of co-creating (new) narratives and stories of local monuments, public spaces and symbolic locations for the neighborhoods’ history, culture and identity. Extracurricular workshops for students are focused on exploring buildings/spaces through various methods: oral history research, speculative writing, and empirical/artistic exploration. The teachers of Pristina and Fushë Kosova will be trained for the implementation of these activities within the public schools of Pristina and Fushë Kosova in the coming weeks.
