Sahej Rahal

Sahej Rahal works across sculpture, performance, film, painting, installations and AI programmes. His work focusses on storytelling, he weaves together fact and fiction throughout his practice.

Rahal draws upon various sources, ranging from local legends to science fiction. The goal is to create counter-mythologies that interrogate the dominant narratives that shape society.

His works often include indeterminate beings or forms. These forms emerge, according to Rahal, “from the cracks in our civilization” and our collective imagination, asking us to question the stories we tell ourselves.
