Initial participants of Manifesta 14 Prishtina 14 2022!
We are delighted to announce the initial programme for Manifesta 14 Prishtina, currently consisting of 77 participants from 32 countries.
Manifesta 14 Prishtina’s biennial programme will be based around the former industrial site of the Brick Factory; the Grand Hotel, the Centre for Narrative Practice at the former Hivzi Sylejmani Library as well as a variety of artistic and urban interventions across the city. All the elements of the programme have been woven into a parcours, a walk through Prishtina incorporating the stories of all these fascinating venues.
Participants will present their work at 22 venues across the city of Prishtina, from the Great Hammam to Zahir Pajaziti Square and Kino Rinia. Of the 40 artistic and urban interventions announced today, 32 works are newly conceived especially for Prishtina.
So far, the programme brings together 77 participants, including 17 collectives, from 32 countries, with more participants to be announced soon. Within this list, there are 37 participants from Kosovo and an additional 16 from the Western Balkans. Thus, 48% of the participants and collectives are Kosovar, including projects commissioned via the Manifesta 14 Kosovar Projects Open Call, a crucial part of giving representation to the rich cultural world of Kosovo. We will continue to announce further participants and interventions in the build-up to the opening of the biennial on the 22nd of July 2022.
