Oaza Programme October

For the final month of Manifesta, at Oaza at the Centre for Narrative Practice, we will be launching three new programmes, which will offer participants the opportunity to not only develop new skills, but also the chance to present them as a part of the Manifesta 14 Programme.

This is a great chance to meet like-minded people, learn from experts in the fields and showcase your abilities to an audience!

Launching on the 4th of October, OAZA’s Film Photography Programme in collaboration with Abi Shehu’s Open Studio project entails a series of workshops on the production of analog photography.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to attend lectures on various aspects of the photographic process, practical workshops on the creation of film photography projects and engagement in the development of analog pictures in the dark room.

All workshops will take place in the Centre for Narrative Practice, and will be carried out in Albanian and English by artists Abi Shehu, Vigan Nimani and Prof. Jochen Rohner.

The programme will run on a limited capacity and is suitable for individuals starting from 15 years old and on.

Each participant will produce a film photography project on a particular topic in cooperation with programme trainers, which will be shown in an exhibition at the end of the series of workshops. The exact lecture and workshop schedule will be announced after the group is formed.

Launching on the 11th of October, the Theatre Programme for Children is a series of workshops that focus on teaching and practicing some of the basics of acting, script-writing and scenography.

Under the guidance of Arbnora Ademi and Ergjan Mehmeti, children will learn more about the creation of a theatre play, by getting to experience the entire process first-hand.
This will culminate in the creation of a theatre show by the children themselves which will be based on parts of different books that you can find in Oaza at the Centre for Narrative Practice, which they will perform on the 30^th of October for the general public.

The programme is open for enrollment to children aged from 12 – 17 years old, has limited capacity and will be led in Albanian.

Launching on the 5th of October, the Animation Programme with Edvin Susuri will give participants the opportunity to learn more about animation techniques, creating characters, and will be involved in the practical process of creating an animated film themselves, which will be shown at a public event.

All workshops including the public screening of the animation will be held in the Oaza of the Center for Narrative Practice. The exact schedule of lectures and workshops will be announced after the formation of the group.

The programme is open for enrollment to participants aged 15 and older, it has limited capacity and will be led in Albanian.
