Sekhmet Institute

Sekhmet is a new Kosovo-based NGO, carrying the name of the Ancient Egyptian goddess of healing and war.

The institute was created to imagine a new, different Kosovo. Sekhmet promotes justice and respect for human rights, particularly of minorities and of those excluded from power, representation and recognition. Their work takes the form of research and cultural and artistic productions as well as advocacy and awareness-raising activities targeting the general public. Through artistic interventions, Sekhmet push for justice and freedom for all, particularly focussing on women’s and LGBT+ rights.
